About

I’m a software architect in the Netherlands who loves cooking, (graphic) design and everything mobile. My iPhone and iPad are my favourite toys and I like designing and developing mobile apps for these platforms. I like Apple just as much as I like Microsoft, which makes for a nice blend.

I’ll blog about software development, software architecture, design and cooking, lots of cooking.

  1. Hi Roy,

    I’m currently developing for the iPad and am having trouble with custom table cells (no problems prior to Xcode 4). I found your repsonse to Alex York’s post – “Creating Custom UITableViewCell’s with MonoTouch – the correct way”. I followed your steps and the .h file was created but in Xcode, when I click the Assistant editor toolbar button, the NSObject.h file is displayed instead of the .h file for my custom UITableCell. Here is the partial class definition:

    using System;
    using MonoTouch.ObjCRuntime;

    namespace MyApp
    {
    [MonoTouch.Foundation.Register(“MyCustomCell”)]
    public partial class MyCustomCell : MonoTouch.UIKit.UITableViewCell
    {
    public MyCustomCell () : base()
    {
    }

    public MyCustomCell(IntPtr handle) : base(handle)
    {
    }

    }
    }

    The .xib and .cs files share the same name.

    Is there an obvious step I’m missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Steve Meagher
